Join the Tillsonburg Horticultural Society on their Tuesday, August 8 tour of Whistling Gardens in Wilsonville complete with a Canada 150 Barbecue and entertainment by the Gentlemen of Harmony choir in Canada’s largest open-air amphitheatre.
Whistling Gardens includes nearly 18 acres with six major gardens and plant collections. The gardens are seamlessly connected with nearly four kilometres of walking paths. As well there is a two-acre pond and a waterfall.
Meet at Whistling Gardens for a 5:00 stroll through the gardens. The barbecue supper at 6:15 includes a gourmet hamburger, potato salad, cole slaw and Canada 150 birthday cake. Bring your own beverage and lawn chair. Wine is allowed. Entertainment starts at 7:15 p.m. and we will be on our way home about 8:00.
