The Tillsonburg Horticultural Society travelled to the Port Hope area on a three day bus tour. Together we toured the gardens and mansion of the Parkwood Estates in Oshawa. In Port Hope we visited a Master Gardener’s home to go through her unique and  colourful gardens, and then carried on to visit two extensive gardens in Garden Hill, north of  Port Hope. Our tour guide, Peter Brotherhood, provided our members with  a picturesque and historical bus/walking tour of Port Hope. Other stops included in our trip were to Empire Cheese, World’s Finest Chocolate and Dooher’s Bakery, all in Campbellford.
